I am Diane Ruth (Carver) Mann
I am married to Brent.
I am mom to four "children" who are all in their twenties, Ryan, Kyle, Karis and Megan.
I am mom-in-law to Andrew, Destiny and Kelley.
I am grandma to Emmett and Samuel.
I am a sister to five, a daughter, a cousin and a niece.
I am a part-time court reporter.
I am a spiritual director.
I am a writer.
I am the most amateur musician you will ever know, composing simple songs.
I am a hiker and a backpacker.
I am a friend.
I am a recipient of and responder to the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
I am in return one who is growing in my love for Jesus and for others.
I am embracing who I am, who God made and is making me to be.
I am coming to Christ more and more just as I am rather than just as I wish I were.
I am prone to be in wonder...
of God's creation (Wow!)
of His Presence in the ordinary
of His permeating, penetrating, always-amazing grace
of His never-ending mercy
of His pursuing love
of Christ in me
of Christ in you
Yet often I am prone to wonder...
why does it take me so long to grow?
will I ever be more loving, more gracious, more like Jesus?
will I develop my gifts and abilities?
does God really have a plan for me (am I enough)?
where is God in my hurt and disappointment, my anger and aggravation?
why does God allow some horrible things to happen, and
where is He during those dark times of suffering?
I am learning to bring my praise (when I'm in awe-filled wonder) and my questions (when I'm wondering what's going on) to God and seek to more fully know the One who wants my
love -- all the love my heart, soul and mind have to give -- the ever-present One in whom I live, move and have my being.
My blog is a place wherein I explore and sift through what I notice about God in and around me, others, and in this crazily gorgeous world He made, about which...
... I am Prone to Wonder.

Diane, I WONDER if this will let me actually post my comment since I probably have to first use the password I've forgotten.
If you get this, I am blessed to hear that part of your story and read about you. I'm glad to be your friend and on this WONDERful journey called Life with you.
Sheryl
